Turn Your Bedroom into a Sex Den

Who wouldn't want to have a sex den in their home? They are not generally child compatible, nor are they the best use of space. Avoid this by creating a temporary sex den in your bedroom.

With a few supplies anyone can create a temporary sex den that will give variety to your sex life without ever leaving home.

1. Clean your room

This is, of course, the least interesting task involved. Creating a sanctuary for you and your partner requires removing the irritations of life. This includes removing all clutter and laundry. Sweep/vacuum and clean all surfaces. You can relax better when do not have to worry that a candle may ignite a pile of clothes. Use incense to cover any odours that may emanate from the rest of the house.

2. Review your sound system

Every good sex den requires some mode of sound system. This could range from a full stereo to a mp3 player with speakers. Do not rely on a clock radio or any form of audio you cannot control. Control over the music allows you to control the mood the best. There are also no commercials in your own music.

Set up a restraint system

Outfit your bed with a restraint system. You can purchase pre-made four limb restraints that are connected under the mattress. Simply tuck restraints under blankets when not in use. If you cannot afford or do not want an elaborate system, use fabric to tie hands together or to a headboard.

4. Review your lighting system

Having a variety of lighting intensities and choices allows you to maximize your options. Dimmer switches are inexpensive and easy to install. They allow you to change the intensity of overhead lights at a touch. Include candles to your lighting arsenal. The natural flicker of candles adds an ambience that dimmed electric lights can never quite achieve.

5. Build your sex toy drawer

Create a drawer or box of sex related toys. Pull this out when your sex den opens! Be sure to visit your local adult store or check online for the latest options. The base items for your sex drawer should be water based lubricant and condoms. Build up from there! It's not unusual to find vibrators, nipple clamps and handcuffs in other people's drawers.

Turning your bedroom does not need to include thousands of dollars in renovations. Have appropriate sound and lighting options to change the mood in your room. Keep some toys around and have fun! Remember the object is better sex, not the perfect sex room.
