Sex after baby?

Question:

I'm four months post-partum and my husband and I have been back in the saddle since I got the okay. But insertion hurts! We've used coconut oil as lube for years, but I'm wondering if maybe it's too thin? I had a pretty gnarly second-degree tear, but I feel pretty well-healed in general. I love our sex life, but it's hard to get super worked up when the first ten minutes hurt! Any recommendations?

Answer:

It takes time to heal. Even though the skin is stitched up and healed. That skin isnt as stretchy as it used to be. You can try a thicker lube but it's best to just ease into it.

I found that getting it from behind hurts.

After awhile it will feel better. I promise!
